Lake Ledro’s tranquil waters invite leisurely swims and lounging on grassy shores, peaceful strolls or cycling along valley paths, or amidst the rolling pastures. There’s no denying that Valle di Ledro also promises moments of pure relaxation. But what if, alongside some peace and quiet, you crave excitement, adventure, or even a rush of adrenaline? Fear not, for opportunities abound! Think mountain biking through wooded trails, sailing escapades on the lake, and, most notably, canyoning and paragliding – two activities that are bound to get your heart racing! Let’s explore where and how to participate in these extreme sports in Valle di Ledro.
Canyoning along the Rio Nero and Palvico Stream
Embark on a thrilling adventure while you navigate through ravines and waterfalls, propelled by the current amidst jumps and dives along two different streams in Valle di Ledro! We are talking about the Palvico Stream and the Rio Nero, both in the area of Valle dell’Ampola in Upper Valle di Ledro, just a few minutes from Casavecchia. Several mountain guides are ready to organise outings on these streams in complete safety, providing everything you need to take part: wetsuits, helmets, harnesses, and life jackets. There are routes of varying difficulties, for beginner adults, more experienced adults, teenagers, families, and children. Generally speaking, the easier outings take place in the canyon housing Palvico Stream, while the more demanding and adrenaline-filled ones are located along the Rio Nero gorge.
Fly over Lake Ledro, with a tandem paraglider
